About this blog

Hi.  I originally started this blog a few months after my husband passed away as a way of recording my journies.  At that time I had two journies going on; one was the road trip that I had decided to take from Alaska to Vermont.  The other journey was my journey of grief.  Losing my husband was, without a doubt, the most difficult thing in my life that I have ever had to live through.

My hope is that you will find what you need in this blog; whethere it be hope and inspiration, or just a knowing that you are not alone if you are also walking the journey of grief.

Although it has been tough sometimes to put my thoughts and feelings out there for anyone to read, if I have helped you, then I have succeeded.

Enjoy your time here and remember ~

Always be gentle with yourself

    Hi Gyspi!
Every time I look @ my woodburner I think I need to get busy & do some more … but the weather’s been too nice & the river keeps calling me to kayak! If you’re in my neighborhood…(southern Oregon Coast) DO STOP BY!!! Gold Beach, Oregon. Just 50 mi north of California right on the coast. Port Hole Cafe or Radio Shack you can find me! I’d LOVE to see ya!

    Hi Faith,

I really like your blog. First one I had ever looked at, as a matter of fact. Anyway, we are home and off to Tok tomorrow again we go. All is full boar ahead!! We have to be out by Aug. 5. OH SHIT for me cause I got shit to do. But I am checking everyday. Hope to hear about the next day, tonight maybe? We are thinking of you and really I wish we could come along with you. I love home, but all that comes with coming home I can do without right now. What’s the saying, “No rest for the weary, or was it the wicked?” Anyway, we love you and take care of yourself, and can’t wait to see you when you come through Tok. Oh yea we’d like pics of the lights on OK!
