Countdown – 9 Days to Liftoff

Been out in the camper quite a bit today. I’ve learned that you can’t run electricity in the thing on extension cords, so once I get the extend-a-mirrors installed, I’ll have to take it down the street to the parking lot at the bus barn and learn how to back it up. Then I’ll be able to back it into the driveway at the house.

10 Days to Liftoff

No work today, thank God. I have to go and pick up the truck at some point today, but I have plenty of time to start hauling out the pig sty known as my house. Really hasn’t been cleaned since before Jim passed away, so it’s a mess. Sometimes I think that a couple of dynamite sticks would fix it better, but a friend assures me that this is not true. I guess I gotta clean it instead

I am hoping that the check for the camper has cleared and that when I go to pick up the truck later on today that I’m also bringing ‘the house’ home with me.

Anyhoo, sitting here in front of the computer ain’t getting stuff done, so I’m signing off for now -

Busy day today. Gotta drop the truck off in town to get set up for haulin’ plus I gotta work today. Got a real short-timers attitude going on with that. Oh well, one more week and I’m done with work.

Countdown – 12 days to liftoff

Song is stuck in my head today. I’m leaving in 12 days, and I am so impatient to get going. Still so much to get done before I can hit the road. It’s ok; I am a professional at this, hence the name ‘gypsi.’ Just a bit out of practice is all.

Bought the camper the other day, but I can’t pick it up until the check clears. The truck goes in on Friday to get set up to haul. No way am I gonna travel the Alcan with 9000lbs. behind me and no brake-assist!!
